  Manager is very friendly and helpful. Our first room had a refrigerator making a high pitched noise, we asked to be moved and were actually upgraded to a room with a full mini kitchen and loveseat, our previous room did not have those. Breakfast was pretty good, they had real scrambled eggs with added mushrooms-best I've had at a hotel! Tasty coffee too. Would recommend staying here if you're in the area.

  Nice clean comfortable hotel. Serves breakfast and Supper, which is a bonus. Food is excellent and always varied. Staff very friendly and engaging. I totally recommend staying here.

  Western star has exceptionally been meeting the needs of guests lately. Along with free hot breakfast they also serve hot supper now which by all means is really rare of hotels to do. Staff is great, polite and helpful when needed. Place is clean, quite and cozy. I recommend this hotel to anyone that's looking for a good place to stay

  In our line of business we stay in hotels / motels all over AB, B.C. and SK to the tune of 100+ nights per year. Western Star ranks among the best in terms of service. Ownership is hands on looking after the needs of guests. Rooms are clean and well equipped. Comfortable beds complimentary breakfasts and dinners daily are added value not found often in the industry. Highly recommend Western Star.
